Campbeltown Whisky, hailing from the eponymous region in Scotland, has a storied history as one of the country's most renowned whisky-producing areas. Once known as the "whisky capital of the world," Campbeltown was home to over 30 distilleries at its peak in the 19th century. However, due to economic challenges and the advent of prohibition in the United States, the region experienced a decline, leading to the closure of many distilleries.

Today, only three distilleries remain: Glen Scotia, Springbank, and the recently revived Glengyle Distillery. Campbeltown whiskies are characterized by their distinctive maritime influence, with flavors ranging from briny and salty to fruity and peaty. Despite its reduced number of distilleries, Campbeltown whisky remains highly esteemed among enthusiasts.
