Scorch, an exclusive release from Ardbeg in single malt form, undergoes maturation in ex-bourbon barrels that have been intensely charred. This process gives rise to a bouquet that presents scents of hazelnuts, aniseed, a rich smokiness, garden herbs, pine, and fennel. Upon sipping, the flavour profile unveils hints of sugary confections, tar, liquorice, clove, pepper, the essence of heathery peat smoke, and a touch of sandalwood.
